Perhaps you’ve seen these two pals around town. Barbara, the caretaker, and B.J., the caretakee. B.J. is an 8 year old half Maltese, half Westy who loves her Downtown walks. As well she should, having the best seat in the house perched comfortably in Barbara’s walker. Next time you see Barbara and B.J. make sure to give them a big Louisville hello!

We are proud to announce that Louisville has once again been named one of America’s top places to live in the country. Sunset Magazine featured our lovely little town in their “24 Best Places to Live and Work” story. Robert “Bob” Dozier Memorial Scholarship Fund

Many of you may have known Bob in business, friendship or as a neighbor and we were all very sad to hear of his untimely passing. To celebrate Bob’s 35 years in Louisville as a business owner and resident, a scholarship fund has been established in his name through Monarch High School. All proceeds will be used to purchase brand new laptops for incoming seniors to make their transition to college easier. Donations are tax deductible and should be made to Monarch High School. 10th Year Birthday Party

Help celebrate the 10th birthday of this popular, positive movement center with a day full of fun activities including gymnastics, dance, yoga and music. Local preschools will be on hand to meet and greet parents and kids, and Sweet Cow and Cheese Louise will offer up tasty treats. Jeff and Paige Kagan will give a concert starting at 2:30 pm. The event is free and open to the public.

Youth Spring Art Show

Louisville Art Association will present the Youth Spring Art Show in March, in collaboration with the Louisville Cultural Council and the Louisville Public Library. The show is now taking ‘call for entries’ from Louisville/Superior youth, ages 4-18. The deadline for entries is the end of February. Last year, 211 children participated and over 400 people attended the reception. Any business interested in becoming a sponsor should contact Jane Evans at 303-665-6093. The Huck will offer a 3-course prix-fixe menu at $29 per person including a free glass of sparkling wine. The regular menu will also be available. Afternoon Tea served with Valentine’s Day treats both sweet and savory will be available through February 16. Reservations are required at least a day in advance. And of course delicious treats from the bakery like Valentine’s Cookies, cakes, and gift packages are waiting for that someone special.

Where the Wild Things Live

Where do wild animals live? Everywhere! Come join volunteer naturalists and hike across a HUGE map of Boulder County, from the grassy plains to the highest peaks, looking for signs of wildlife. Everyone will be a nature detective and help discover where different animals find the food, water, shelter, and space they need to survive. This program is geared for preschoolers and early elementary-age children accompanied by an adult. Presented by Boulder County Parks & Open Space.

Louisville History Museum Announcement

The Louisville Historical Museum, 1001 Main Street, is announcing that the Louisville History Foundation has taken on the fundraising role previously handled by the Louisville Historical Commission. The Foundation’s mission, in part, is to stimulate broad-based support for local history and the Louisville Historical Museum.
