November is shopping month! And eating month, and giving thanks month. But mostly, it’s the start of the Holiday Season and the Downtown retailers, restaurants and galleries have lots of great activities taking place. The shops all have special holiday hours and will be open late Thursday and Friday nights. After Thanksgiving, Black Friday and Small business Saturday promises lots of holiday deals. Winterskate kicks off November 16 and the wonderful Carriage Rides start November 29. Gonna be a great Holiday Season!!

Local Art Creations at By Chance is the new gallery owned by Vickey and Tom, located within By Chance, Louisville’s welcoming and unique personal gift and home décor shop. In conjunction with Artist Appreciation month in November, the Studio is hosting a juried show of 10 amazing metalsmith jewelers. Pieces will be available for the month of November only. A variety of contemporary art including various metal sculpture, various media on canvas, photography, glass, jewelry, wood, copper wall sculpture and custom pieces are also available.
