Lots of good people doing lots of good things for flood relief. While our golf course doesn’t look great and we lost a road or two, we were lucky as a community. Lets all do our part to help those impacted by the floods. Oh, and have a Happy Halloweeeeeen!!!!

Flood Relief Fundraiser

Please join Yoga Junction teachers Nichole Golden and Shelley Coughlin in a yoga flow that will give healing to those in attendance and in the community while generating necessary funds for those directly affected by the floods. This event will accept donations only which will be matched by Yoga Junction up to $500. All proceeds will go to the United Way Foothills Flood Relief Fund. Suggested donation is $15.

2nd Annual Night of Pampering Flood Relief Fundraiser

Stories on Stage—The Night Circus

Join the Louisville Cultural Council and the Louisville Public Library in the 3rd annual community-wide reading program: “On The Same Page.” Anne Penner, with Stories on Stage will present a reading of The Night Circus, by Erin Morgenstern. This is a fantastical tale of two magicians locked in a spellbinding duel. There will also be free magic and circus-related activities. Multiple copies of the book are available at the Louisville Public Library.

As part of the “On The Same Page” program, join Dave and Connie Elstun for a special Magic Show on October 6 in the Library Meeting Room at 7:00 pm.

It is a document that is full of optimism and all about the future! Presented by Leah Moore McNally, trainer and career coach, the workshop will outline the purpose of a cover letter and best practices for writing compelling job search correspondence.

Backyard Composting Workshop

If you’ve ever wanted to start a backyard compost system this free workshop is for you. Learn what to feed your compost pile, appropriate bins and methods for our region, tips and troubleshooting, and much more. This workshop is taught by Melanie Burow, a Master Composter in Colorado. There will be a limited number of bins available for purchase at this event. Each bin costs $50. Space is limited and registration is requested.

Space Explorers Wanted! NASA Opportunities for Kids and Kids at Heart
